How Muck It measures usage

This page describes the analytics Muck It uses. It is not a complete privacy policy.

Google Analytics (optional)

Google Analytics runs only if you allow it in the “Analytics privacy” panel at the bottom of the page, and it sets cookies only then. It receives the name of the screen you view, which sign-up or sign-in button you used, the campaign tags in the link you arrived from, and when you save your first session (live, manual or imported). It never receives your account, email, poker results, venues or form entries. You can turn it off in the same panel.

Vercel Web Analytics

Our host, Vercel, counts page visits without cookies. Sign-in links and their codes are removed from the addresses it receives.

Usage analytics in your account

To find where Muck It is hard to use, the app can record your activity, linked to your account and stored in Muck It’s own database. It is off unless you turn it on. If you allow it, it records:

It does not record amounts, results, venues, notes, anything you type, passwords, email links, page addresses or error messages. There is no screen recording. Nothing from it is sent to Google, Vercel or any other company.

Only the Muck It owner can see this activity, on a private page that checks their login on the server. Your email is not copied into it. Raw activity is deleted after 90 days.

Your choice is under Account → Usage analytics. Nothing is recorded until you choose Allow. Choosing Decline and delete later stops collection and deletes the activity already recorded for your account. If your Muck It account is deleted, its usage activity is deleted with it.
